Unsere Stammväter: Die württembergische Linie (II)

Johannes Martin Schepperlin. He married his wife Anna Catharina Möglin, November 29, 1701, in a prayer meeting in Plieningen. The bride was pregnant, a reason for the minister to write in the records that they were "early sleepers." Five months later he wrote about the stillborn girl in the 22nd week after the wedding.

Anna Catharina Möglin was buried, May 21, 1712. In the death record we find the notice, "Was an industrious woman in her housekeeping."

He remarried in Plieningen, February 9, 1713; and his wife, Anna Vogel, gave birth to the only surviving son, Johannes, born August 11, 1719.

Johannes Martin was buried, May 4, 1731, with tears; and the minister noted, "Was a Christian and an honest man, honored his authorities, loved his wife and children, looked after them, and was obliging to his fellowman."
